This 1 year old bundle of energy, affection, and pure joy is ready to leap into his forever home! Found as a stray, we don't know much about his past-but his future is full of promise, tail wags, and unconditional love.

Snafu is a friendly, outgoing pup who wants nothing more than to be around people. He's a total snuggle bug who lives for attention-belly rubs, booty scratches by his tail, and cuddles are his favorite things in the world. He'll even roll over to make sure you know exactly where the rubs are needed! He has a blast running around the backyard, zooming and sniffing to his heart's content. After about 10 minutes of fun, he's usually ready to curl up for a nap and recharge for the next round of play. He's also working on his tennis ball skills and is starting to get the hang of bringing it back for another throw-fetch is quickly becoming a favorite game!

Snafu would thrive with an active, patient family who can help guide him through puppyhood, continue his training, and give him the structure and love he craves. If you're looking for a sweet, silly, loyal companion who's equal parts play and cuddle, Snafu is your guy!

He recently got to spend a day away from the shelter and absolutely stole the show. His volunteer called him the highlight of their week! He did great in the car and was overjoyed to explore the park-especially the grass! He has a hilarious and adorable habit of stretching all four paws and dragging himself across the grass with a big grin on his face. Snafu was curious about people but didn't pull too much on the leash-just enough to say a polite hello. Back at the apartment, this brave boy faced a challenge: stairs! At first, he was unsure, but with time and encouragement (and no pressure), he courageously climbed them all on his own. Once inside, he melted into cuddles and belly rubs, happily curling up in a lap with the biggest smile. He's not overly clingy-he'll stick by your side for affection but also knows how to settle down and nap peacefully. He's calm inside, curious outside, and full of the kind of personality that makes a house feel like a home.

Snafu had another break from the shelter for a Dog Day Out, and he had the best time soaking up the sunshine and being his playful self! He spent the day running and exploring in a big open field, then enjoyed some well-earned chicken nuggets from Sonic before snoozing the whole ride back to the shelter. It was clear to his volunteer buddy that Snafu is a high-energy pup who also loves being close to his person-he's shaping up to be a total Velcro dog!

Snafu is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his vaccinations, and ready for his forever home!
