DESCRIPTION
Meet Victoria!
Victoria is a 1-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who came to us as an owner surrender after her previous owner was no longer able to provide the care she needed. Before coming to the Humane Society, Victoria had never walked on a leash. She is now learning to comfortably walk alongside her person and is picking up these new skills quickly! Victoria knows how to sit, although she can be a little particular about when she chooses to show off that skill. She takes treats gently and absolutely loves resting her head on your leg or in your hands. When meeting new people, Victoria can be quite timid. A quiet, slow approach helps her feel comfortable and gives her the best chance to show you her sweet personality. Once she feels safe, she is sure to become your BFF! Victoria would do best in a quiet home with a patient family who will give her the time, love, and encouragement she needs to settle into her new environment.
Come meet sweet Victoria today at our Moiliili Campus!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Pit Bull Terrier is a resilient and loyal breed known for its muscular build and loving nature. Originally bred for bull baiting and later dog fighting, Pit Bulls today are beloved family pets cherished for their gentle temperament and playful personality. With proper training and socialization, Pit Bull Terriers make affectionate companions that thrive on human interaction. Recognized for their strength and agility, these dogs require regular exercise and mental stimulation to channel their energy positively, reinforcing their reputation as devoted and trainable pets.
