DESCRIPTION
Hello! I’m currently listed on the Humane Society’s website to help me connect with as many potential adopters as possible. Although I’m available for adoption, I’m not quite ready to go to my forever home just yet as I’m waiting on my spay. I’d love to meet you—come visit me today! Hi! My name is Tamarin! I'm 1 year old and weigh about 53 pounds. Even though I'm a very young dog, I don't act like your typical pup. I don't have the words to tell people what my life was like prior to arriving here as a stray, but they can tell it likely wasn't very good. I'm very timid and submissive, and my face is always sad and wrinkly. The world is a terrifying place for me as it is, and it's even worse living in a kennel surrounded by loud dogs who never stop barking! I much prefer a calm, quiet environment with fluffy, soft beds to lay on. I even like to be covered from head to toe with cozy blankets. Somewhere deep inside of me is a personality waiting to blossom. I just haven't felt brave enough to explore it. People here say I don't know how to dog. I know sit, and I'm VERY gentle when taking treats, but I've heard about something called playing, and I have no idea what that is. I don't know how fun car rides can be or what it's like to feel safe, secure, and loved in a home. That's really sad, but the good thing is, everyone here keeps telling me that's all going to change and that what lies ahead for me is so much better than what lies behind me. I hope they're right! If you have a loving heart and a relatively calm, predictable home, and you'd like to change a dog's whole life for the better, stop in and ask to meet me. I'd like to meet your dog(s), too, if you have any! We don't have to jump into anything permanent right away. You can bring me home as foster-to-adopt, so I can have time to adjust, and we can decide if we're a good fit for each other! I'm ready to give humans another chance. Please give me one, too.
