Little Teddy was surrendered to us after living in the yard of an animal hoarder. His little eye was punctured and necrotic. He was only 12 weeks old.
We took him straight to the ER, where they removed his eye; it couldn’t be saved. While under anesthesia, staff watched as his blood pressure and heart rate dropped in relief as soon as the eye was removed
The doctor told us that she had never seen a puppy in that much pain.
Cut to today, Teddy is about a year old, 65lbs and has forgotten all about his past!
He is wonderful! He’s good with people, dogs, and cats. It takes him a second to warm up to new people. As we’ve been doing more and more socializing, this process is getting quicker and quicker!
Teddy is our go to cat testing dog. When we have a new cat or kitten in the rescue, we use him to help them get used to being around dogs. That should tell you all you need to know about his temperament! He’s a sweet heart
He is phenomenal on leash and has “bring everywhere” status. He loves hiking and is the best ball player around!
Teddy would love to go to someone active that is interested in having an adventure buddy. While he doesn’t require 24/7 stimulation, he really enjoys trips to the store, hiking, and getting out and about. He’s also a dog that will be happy to grab a bone and take it to his bed or your couch!
