Ryder Ready to Be Yours - Pit Bull Terrier and Black Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in Friendswood, Texas

Ryder has a toy to show you, a kiss to give you, and the sweetest puppy face to help convince you to stay a little longer. Confident, affectionate, and just a little over two months old, this little boy is getting a wonderful start in his foster home. His schedule includes playing, being loved on, and settling in for a rest before it’s time to do it all again.

Go watch Ryder on YouTube for a closer look at that cute face and his happy little personality, then come right back to read more: https://youtu.be/sMhBlLv6n0Y

Ryder loves his toys, and a family willing to join in the fun would make his day. He has shown a lovely balance of playful energy and an ability to settle down afterward. Once he’s had his fun, he’s happy to trade playtime for affection. Gentle and generous with his puppy kisses, he makes spending time together feel pretty sweet.

He is being fostered in a loving home with a variety of other dogs and kids, giving him daily opportunities to practice being part of a family. He enjoys his canine company, and another playful dog could be a wonderful match for him. He’s also a great little car rider, ready to come along when the day’s plans include a passenger with paws.

Ryder looks like a Pittie/Lab mix, though his breed and age are our best guesses. There is plenty of growing ahead, both in size and in all the things he’ll learn. His foster family is helping him build a lovely foundation, and his adopters will get to continue that work with patient potty training, consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and plenty of chances to explore the world at his pace.

A family who enjoys puppy playtime, has room for a toy collection, and wants a loving little companion to grow alongside them could have so much fun with Ryder. He already brings confidence, sweetness, and a very kissable face to the relationship. Now he just needs his people.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
