Aza Lou the Land Seal Sweetheart - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Friendswood, Texas

AZA LOU THE LAND SEAL SWEETHEART

Pit Bull Terrier
🇺🇸
Friendswood, Texas
June 26th
female, large, adult

DESCRIPTION

If you've never experienced the joy of sharing your life with a proper house hippo, Aza Lou would like to formally submit her application. This girl is built like a little land seal, comes equipped with soulful brown eyes that could convince you to do just about anything, and has perfected the art of cozy companionship. She's not here to run marathons. She's not here to climb mountains. She's here to sit next to you on the couch, accept forehead kisses, provide emotional support, and remind you that life is better when you slow down a little.

Watch her video and prepare to fall in love with this squishy sweetheart: https://youtu.be/n9yirVHr_NM?si=esq-cxxilQfXLxHf

Aza Lou is approximately 5 years old, weighs around 63 lbs, and we believe she may be a Pittie mix. With rescue it's always a mystery and we can never guarantee breed or age. What we do know is that she is short, stocky, squishy, and incredibly huggable. She's the type of dog that looks athletic in photos until you realize she's actually a potato with legs. In fact, if Aza wants to get on a couch or bed, there's a good chance you'll be providing transportation services. The best part? She'll just stand there and let you pick her up like it's completely normal.

Aza is one of those dogs that is simply easy to be around. She has found the perfect balance between affectionate and independent. She loves being close to her people, loves giving kisses, and would happily sit in your lap if you let her, but she's not clingy or overwhelming about it. She's content just being near you. The type of dog that's always nearby but never demanding. And every now and then, her silly side comes out. Out of nowhere she'll throw herself onto her back and start squirming around like a fish out of water. Her upside-down facial expressions are absolutely ridiculous and guaranteed to make you laugh. It's impossible not to smile when she's having one of her goofy little moments.

Aza is dog friendly and has done wonderfully with every dog she's met so far. The funny thing is that while she enjoys other dogs, she doesn't really seem all that interested in playing with them. She's more of a "hello friend, okay see you later" type of girl. Because of this, she would do best with another dog that shares her cool, calm, and collected outlook on life. A cozy companion rather than a full-time playmate. She absolutely can live with another dog, but she doesn't need one to be happy. She would be just as content soaking up all of the attention as your one and only.

Aza also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. She did not chase Biggie, nor was she bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also seemed to feel comfortable around her as well. We do not know if she has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing her with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for her to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know!

Aza is crate trained and generally walks right into her kennel on her own. Every now and then she appreciates a little booty boost to get all the way inside, which honestly just adds to her charm. Once settled, she's quiet and content. She is also potty trained and has shown herself to have wonderful house manners. She's respectful in the home, easygoing, and overall just a very pleasant roommate. When it comes to treats, Aza is a fan. She takes them incredibly gently and already knows how to sit and shake.

Her shake is particularly adorable because she'll often keep offering her paw over and over again, holding it suspended in the air while waiting for you to grab it. It almost looks like she's waving at you. It's ridiculously cute. She also walks nicely on leash and would make a wonderful companion for leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. Emphasis on leisurely. Aza enjoys stopping to smell the roses and has absolutely no interest in becoming anyone's running partner.

One of the most special things about Aza is her overall demeanor. She's calm. She's sweet. She's adaptable. Whether you're someone who enjoys having friends and family over regularly or someone who prefers a quieter homebody lifestyle, Aza is likely going to be happy either way. She doesn't need constant excitement to be fulfilled. She just wants to be included. We think she'd do wonderfully in an apartment, condo, or home with a backyard. We can easily picture her stretched out on a porch soaking up the sunshine, lounging in the grass on a beautiful afternoon, or snoozing on the couch while her family goes about their day.

At the end of the day, Aza isn't looking for adventure. She's looking for connection. She's looking for someone to love. Someone to sit beside. Someone to greet at the door. Someone to share quiet moments with. If you've been searching for a sweet, squishy, go-with-the-flow house hippo who wants nothing more than to be your loyal companion, Aza might just be the perfect match.

We are willing to test Aza Lou with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
