Jerry - Pit Bull Terrier and Staffordshire Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Frankfort, New York

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED FOR JERRY

Jerry is a cruelty case. Due to the ongoing investigation, details surrounding his case will not be released at this time.

Right now, what matters is Jerry.

He is currently being treated for injuries and health concerns, and Rover's Do Over will cover all of his veterinary expenses, medications, food, and supplies. We just need someone willing to give him the one thing we can't provide without a foster:

A quiet, safe place to heal.

Look at his eyes. His soul is tired.

Jerry has already survived more than any dog should have to, and right now we want his world to become very small, very predictable, and very gentle.

He needs time to decompress.

Time to sleep without worrying.

Time to learn that hands can be kind.

Time to realize that he is finally safe.

Jerry is affectionate and will lean into you for contact once he feels comfortable. There is still so much love in this boy—he just needs someone patient enough to let him show it when he's ready.

Ideally, we would like to find Jerry a foster home without other dogs. This is not because we know Jerry cannot live with them. After everything he has experienced, we simply want to remove as many stressors as possible and allow him to focus on resting, healing, and decompressing.

We WILL consider foster homes with other dogs. In those situations, we will require a dog meet first, and the foster must be able to safely separate the dogs as needed so Jerry can have his own space and uninterrupted decompression time.

Right now, we're not asking someone to fix him.

We're asking someone to give him peace.

A quiet room. A soft bed. Regular meals. Gentle hands. And the opportunity to heal at his own pace.

We'll take care of the medical side.

We need someone to take care of his heart.

If you can open your home to Jerry, please reach out or submit a foster application at www.roversdoover.com/foster.

Please share. Somewhere out there is the quiet place Jerry needs right now. We just have to find it.
