Snickers is looking for his ONE person, and we know they are out there.

And when we say one person, we really do mean ONE.

Snickers has been at HOKAFI since September 14, 2023. He was born September 1, 2020, and this handsome Pit Bull has a complicated story—but we refuse to believe there isn't someone out there who could be exactly what he needs.

With his person, Snickers is an absolute lovebug. He bonds deeply, loves affection, and can be incredibly sweet and devoted.

But Snickers has a serious challenge that we need to be completely transparent about: he has a bite history.

The incidents we've seen have occurred when two people were together. Even when Snickers knew and was comfortable with both people individually, having them together could trigger protective behavior. Because of that history, Snickers needs a very specific home, no cats, no dogs, and an adopter who fully understands that loving him also means managing his behavior and respecting his limitations for life.

The Pit Bull Terrier is a resilient and loyal breed known for its muscular build and loving nature. Originally bred for bull baiting and later dog fighting, Pit Bulls today are beloved family pets cherished for their gentle temperament and playful personality. With proper training and socialization, Pit Bull Terriers make affectionate companions that thrive on human interaction.
