Nellie — Forty Two Pounds of Silly, Sunny, Couch-Loving Devotion

Nellie is three years old, approximately forty two pounds, and she has a very clear agenda: find her person, claim the sunniest spot in the house, and spend the rest of her life alternating between making you laugh and napping beside you on the couch. She has thought this through and she is committed to the plan.

She is house trained, up to date on vaccines, and spayed. She loves long walks and takes them seriously. She is a professional sunbeam locator — wherever the best patch of warmth is in your home, Nellie will find it and she will be there, deeply content and completely unbothered. She is silly and goofy in the way that makes a house feel lighter just because she is in it, and once she knows and trusts you she is overflowing with affection in the best, most uncomplicated way.

Nellie needs to be the only pet in the home, which suits her perfectly. She wants her people all to herself, and she has more than enough love to fill an entire house on her own. A calm, peaceful home where she can settle in, relax, and be genuinely loved is all she is asking for.

She is not a complicated dog. She just wants somewhere sunny, someone to curl up with, and the knowledge that she is home for good this time.


Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
