Syrup is a 10-week-old black-and-white pit bull mix puppy with a huge heart, a brave spirit, and a serious love of snuggling. This sweet girl has been thriving in her foster home and has quickly shown what a wonderful little companion she is. Syrup has done incredibly well with the resident dogs in her foster home. From the moment she arrived, she wanted to be part of the pack. She is confident, social, and does a great job reading dog body language and social cues. She even figured out the doggie door by her third day and loves racing into the backyard with the other dogs to investigate every sound and adventure. She is especially fond of the family’s Aussie, whom she has decided makes an excellent pillow.

She has also been fantastic with children. Syrup currently lives with a 5-year-old and has handled loud noises, quick movements, and kid energy beautifully. She has even joined daycare pickup and happily soaked up attention from enthusiastic children.

Syrup is incredibly affectionate and fully believes she is a lap dog. She is making great progress with potty training and has already had multiple accident-free days. She sleeps well overnight and wakes her foster family when she needs to go outside.

Like many young puppies, Syrup is still learning how to be comfortable alone. She does not love the crate and will need a patient adopter who can continue helping her build confidence with crate training and separation in a gentle, positive way.

Syrup is smart, social, snuggly, and full of love. She would do especially well in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can continue showing her the ropes. This sweet bean is ready to keep growing, learning, and charming everyone she meets.
