Hi, my name is Tabitha! I'm a friendly one-year-old, 30-pound mix of tasteful snuggles, eager walks, and 100% pure love!

I had a rough start in life--something dislocated my hip and made me limp a lot--but then my foster parents found me, and this cool organization called Dallas Pets Alive offered me a surgery! The doctors say I'll make a full recovery--which is great, because I'm ready for new adventures!

My foster parents call me the Goldilocks dog, because I'm juuuuust right. I like long walks and playtime, but I also like chilling by the couch and chewing on a toy. I'm smart enough to know basic tricks like 'sit' and 'place,' but not SO smart that I get myself into trouble. I don't mind hanging out in my crate, but I also really like being where you are. In fact, I'll follow you everywhere! To the kitchen, the bathroom, the backyard...and even into that all-staff Zoom meeting you never want to attend! But I also know when to back off and hang out while you do work or watch Netflix.

I love kids and other dogs; they're AWESOME! I want to be friends with all the dogs, and I'm pretty good at figuring out what other dogs want from me. I can play with anyone who wants a friend, but I also know how to sniff and sit near dogs who don't really feel like hanging out. The only pets I can't live with? Birds. They fly! They clearly want to be chased!

The best part about me? I learn quickly. I REALLY want a place to belong, so I'm good at paying close attention to my people and trying to figure out what they need. If you KNOW what you need, that's even better! I thrive with strong, clear instructions, and I'll do pretty much anything for chicken bark--except counter-surf. I won't do that.
