DESCRIPTION

Hey diva. The name's Katrina, nice to meet you. I'm a 6.5 year old baddie looking for new best friends. They say I'm "high maintenance", but really I just have standards like any princess should. I have soft and short beige fur I like to keep clean as much as I can, and I have the prettiest hazel eyes you ever did see. I'm a girl with needs like anyone else, so I like having a clean bed all to myself so that when I lay down I can cross my paws together and have a good snooze. When I'm not napping, I do love a good walk, walks are one of my favorite things. I just don't like walking for miles and miles without breaks or treats, but otherwise I adore a reasonable length walk and sniffing out the land and my environment, reading the news if you will. The only things I love more than walks are attention, treats, food and toys. The toys have to be the kind that are super durable or that are okay to tear up, because I LOVE chewing things up. Normally I respect my human's things and don't chew on their stuff, but let me have a toy and I'll chew it up good for ya. If I were you I'd still probably put away the valuables just to be safe, or else I get really tempted to nibble on it. I also can't get enough of your pets and kisses, I love people of all ages, big or small. I like cuddling too but at my own leisure honestly, girls like me don't like to be forced into cuddles.

Other than that, I like to be the star of the show, the sole receiver of attention whenever possible. I do get a little jealous when my brothers get pets instead of me, but who wouldn't? When that happens, I just make sure to shove them out of the way and show mom who's really in need of attention, putting my head right into her hands. She definitely gets the message when I do that and makes sure to give me extra, just like I deserve. I personally prefer being an only child honestly, however I am able to adjust to having siblings if I'm given plenty of time and proper technique/space to get used to them. I don't care much for the brothers I have currently, but we haven't tussled in a long time because I tolerate them now. It took some time, but eventually we were able to get along just fine, so long as they didn't irritate me by getting in my personal space or touching my food and toys.

When we go on walks, I'm a good girl and don't go crazy by pulling and being difficult, but I'll admit when I see a stray cat or dog I do get tempted to do something about them. I'm not really friendly to animals I've never met or that I don't know well, and it's best not to leave me to my own devices with them for everyone's safety. Even with how I feel about them, I've never pulled mom or been out of control about it when she's there guiding me on our walks. I still cooperate because that's what good girls do, and I really love walks like I said. She gives me treats to show me her appreciation for it whenever she can. I also suffer from seasonal and general skin/paw allergies, and lick or nibble myself because of it. My mom tries to give me baths with oatmeal shampoo or rub creams for itching on me when she can to calm it down, and clean my wounds if it gets that bad. Sometimes it's not so bad, while other times it can show visible marks. But it's nothing that can't be fixed by talking to a vet, keeping me clean and applying certain creams when I need them.

I sadly do have heart worms, and from what mom says it hasn't caused any significant damage yet. I'm currently doing the slow kill method with antibiotics and a specific heart worm preventative, so hopefully in a couple years they won't be there anymore and it won't be a problem. If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask my mom about all the details. I'm just the one being pampered about it. Well, that's all me. I'm a princess through and through. I'm sweet as honey and am ready to love you with all my heart.
