This dog is one of 32 we rescued from Louisiana, where animal welfare protections are almost nonexistent. Puppies there are often born into neglect — chainedup mother dogs, dirt yards, no food, no vet care, and no one looking out for them. Many are dumped, abandoned, or left outside in dangerous conditions.

Ruby is a beautiful adult pocket pittie with a huge heart. She is great with other dogs and children. She is playful but loves to veg out on the couch and just hang out. No aggressive tendencies have been seen at all in this dog. She likes to romp around in the yard and then just relax with a snooze. She has found beds and couches to be pretty amazing. She is shy at first, but once she warms up, she is a snuggle bug. She is very eager to please.

An approved puppy pen is required for most dogs, rather than a crate
A fenced yard is required for safety. Condo applicants without fencing may be considered on a casebycase basis.
A household with an adult home during the day to provide training, supervision, and companionship
Children 7+ (younger children considered casebycase)
