Rusty - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Cool, California

Rusty is a sweet 7yo male pitbull/ hippo mix. He is sweet, gentle, and extremely sleepy. Although he can be found most days sleeping in his favorite spot on the sofa- he'a also an avid walker, who is curious about almost everything- and doesn't mind short or long walks!! He's not much of a barker, but he does let out some Scooby Doo whines, as he got a laundry list of fears- one of which is hallways! His first language is English, and he's pretty fluent, with enough gesturing and repeating, he picks up on new commands quickly because he loves to please! He seems a little too eager to meet other dogs, so he may need some socialization there, but with a front clipping harness he's not too much to handle. He's been enjoying his kibble mixed with rice and veggies such as sweet potatoes, zucchini, cucumber and carrots mixed with a little coconut oil. He might be showing some allergies to salmon- so best to keep an eye out for itches after feeding salmon, but otherwise seems excited to eat just about anything. Super gentle when taking food or treats- and his teeth seem to have been ground down in the front, but he doesn't show any pain. He's been given medicine in his ears and also in his mouth and he was a perfect gentleman about both! He doesn't mind brand new human house guests- will offer licky 'hellos!' He's just going to be the perfect addition to any house.
