Kira - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Columbia, South Carolina

Meet Kira! This precious 5 year old pittie originally came to us as a young gal in 2022 and was swiftly adopted! Now, four years later, we found her at a local shelter after her owner's had surrendered her there. We scooped our sweet gal right back into our care and promised her forever. Kira is a loving, mellow gal who is still decompressing from her ordeal and remains a bit shy. We can't blame her, and so we continue to spoil and love on her in the meantime. Kira is friendly, walks well on the leash, and is housetrained and well mannered. She can be a bit protective of the home, and likely will need some continued training to help with her protective tendencies. Kira does not do well with cats and other dogs, and would likely be best as the only pet in the home. Besides that, she does have a soft spot for everyone she meets and is ready to transform into the happy, loved girl she was always meant to be!
