Meet Hiccup, the sweetest 5 year old boy with the saddest story. Hiccup was dumped into one of our play yards after hours, abandoned by the people who were supposed to love him. Luckily, our staff found him quickly and got him inside. He was scanned for a microchip, where a whole story unraveled. Hiccup was originally on the euthanasia list at a local county shelter over one year ago, where he was adopted. Hiccup was in good health, happy, and handsome when he was adopted from the shelter, but fast forward to now, he is emaciated, suffering from painful skin infections, and in desperate need of medical attention. How anyone could adopt a dog and do this to them in the span of one year is heartbreaking.
But, despite it all, Hiccup remains so sweet and loving. He is dog friendly, affectionate, and eager to please. Hiccup walks well on a leash and is busy relearning his household manners in our care as he heals and grows healthier every day. This absolute darling of a dog has a long road of recovery ahead, but we know he is going to come out on the other side better than ever!
We promised Hiccup that the rest of his life, would be the best of his life. Could that be with you?
