Meet Max! This sweet and affectionate boy is described as incredibly smart, gentle, and affectionate. Max has lived with another dog that was larger then him and has been around cats and children around 6–7 years old. While he can be a little shy when meeting unfamiliar people and may initially back away, he warms up fairly quickly and enjoys affection once comfortable. He is crate and potty trained though may have accidents at times. Crating Max when home alone is recommended to help prevent destructive behaviors, along with continued positive reinforcement training to help him feel more comfortable spending time by himself. Max would benefit from daily physical and mental exercise.

These small to medium sized dogs are incredibly sociable and get along well with both humans and other pets.
