Meet Emmett — A Goofy, Loving Puppy Ready for a Fresh Start
Emmett is a 6‑month‑old white and brindle pit bull puppy with a heart as big as his paws. His start to life wasn’t easy — he was given to someone who hoped their dog would enjoy having a little brother, but the resident dog didn’t feel the same. Through it all, Emmett has stayed nothing but sweet, silly, and full of puppy charm.
Since coming to us, Emmett has shown he’s a fun, goofy boy who just wants to be loved. He does have some fear around other dogs, likely from his rocky beginning, so he’ll thrive with a confident, friendly dog who can help show him the ropes and teach him that he is wanted. With the right canine role model, Emmett has so much potential to grow.
He’s also working through some food aggression — understandable for a young pup still learning that meals are safe and consistent. The good news is he’s eager to learn, already started training, and responds beautifully to guidance. Because of this, he can live with children, as long as they understand to give him space while he’s eating.
Emmett hasn’t shown much interest in toys yet, but we’re hopeful that once he feels fully secure, he’ll discover the joy of playtime soon.
He was also cat‑tested and showed very little interest in the cats, making him a good candidate for a home with feline friends who prefer calm, respectful dogs.
This sweet boy is ready for a family who will help him build confidence, feel safe, and enjoy the happy puppyhood he deserves.
Emmett's adoption fee is $250, which helps support their medical care and preparation for adoption.
