Meet Baloo – Your Adventure Buddy, Couch Companion, and Best Friend

Baloo is a 3–4-year-old Pit Bull/Labrador Retriever mix weighing about 60 pounds, and he has one simple goal in life: to be wherever his people are.

Whether you're heading out for a morning jog, exploring a new trail, spending the afternoon running errands, or settling in for a cozy movie night, Baloo is all in. He's the kind of dog who doesn't need a perfect day—he just wants to share it with you.

This handsome boy is neutered, housebroken, crate-trained, and comfortable staying home while you're at work. He happily relaxes in his crate during the day and is ready to greet you with excitement when you get home. He's also leash-trained, though he's enthusiastic on walks and would benefit from continued work on pulling. He's definitely more vocal when he's out exploring than he is at home, where he's content to relax and enjoy the quiet.

Baloo has never met a stranger. He loves meeting new people and is wonderful with children of all ages, making friends wherever he goes. Around the house, he's equal parts protector, comedian, cuddle expert, and athlete. One minute he'll have you laughing with his goofy antics, and the next he'll be curled up beside you, convinced he's the perfect-sized lap dog.

When it comes to other pets, Baloo does best with thoughtful introductions. He would likely thrive as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention. However, an experienced owner who understands dog introductions could potentially help him live successfully with the right canine companion. He has shown that he's generally more comfortable around cats, although slow introductions are still important because he can get very excited.

Baloo doesn't require a fenced yard and could do well in an apartment or townhouse (that allow Pit mixes), provided he gets regular walks, exercise, and mental enrichment. His adaptable personality means he's just as happy being your workout partner as he is spending a lazy Sunday stretched out on the couch.

More than anything, Baloo is looking for someone to love with his whole heart. He's loyal, affectionate, endlessly entertaining, and ready to become someone's forever companion.
