Dixie is a beautiful girl who weighs 71 pounds and is approximately 4 years old. She has been spayed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. Currently, she is being treated for a Lyme-positive test and is up to date on her vaccines, rabies shot, and dog tags. Dixie is a huge fan of people and loves to be around them. She walks well on a leash, takes treats nicely, and is generally calm. Since arriving, Dixie has not interacted with other dogs, so we are uncertain about how she will behave around them. However, she tends to adjust quickly and adapts well to new situations once she feels comfortable.
