Snoop (WAIVED ADOPTION FEE) - Pit Bull Terrier and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Calhoun, Kentucky

Unfortunately, Snoops adoption didn't work out, and he has been returned to the shelter. His adopter has tried to make things work, but Snoop has been chewing furniture and other things in the home. They tried crating him when they couldn't supervise him, but he tries to chew up the crate as well. He has plenty of toys available but he just continues to find other things to chew. Sometimes things simply don't work out the way everyone hoped. This doesn't make Snoop a bad dog, and it doesn't make anyone a bad person. Sometimes it just isn't the right fit.

After spending so much time in a shelter, Snoop will need a little extra patience, structure, exercise, and time to adjust to life in a home. He's still the same happy, loving, playful boy we all know and love.

Snoop was our LONGEST resident before he was adopted, and we desperately do not want to see him settle back into shelter life.

What makes this especially difficult is that our kennels are FULL. Snoop was urgent before he left, and unfortunately, he is urgent again.

We think Snoop would do best in a home with a good-sized, secure yard where he has plenty of room to RUN, play, and burn off some of that energy. (He CANNOT have access to cats.)

Snoop has so many wonderful qualities. He just needs the right home — one that understands he may need patience, exercise, structure, and some help learning what is and isn't okay to chew.

Whether its an adopter or a rescue, we need someone to give this boy another chance. Our kennels are full, and we don't want Snoop's second stay with us to become another long one or a concrete kennel to be the last home he knows.
