Nesta - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Bostic, North Carolina

Meet Nesta, a 3-month-old mixed-breed puppy who seems to be equal parts baby cow and giraffe! With her adorable black-and-white moo cow markings, speckled ears, and legs that just keep going, this long-legged little lady is guaranteed to stand out wherever she goes.

Nesta is settling in, learning the ropes, and making sure everyone knows when she has an opinion — because this girl is not shy about using her voice! She’s a little spitfire who perfectly lives up to her namesake (hello, ACOTAR fans!). Her current signature moves include dramatic head tilts, sticking out the tiniest bit of tongue, and staring at you like she’s trying to solve all of life’s biggest mysteries.

But underneath all that sass is a sweet puppy who adores people. Nesta wants to be right where you are at all times and is quickly earning the title of professional little shadow. She walks well on a leash and is working hard on her house training and learning to settle comfortably in her crate.

Nesta is expected to be a medium-to-large dog when fully grown, so her adopter should be ready for a big personality in a growing body!

A Note About Puppies -
Nesta is adorable, but like all puppies, she’s also a work in progress! Puppies can be challenging to raise and require structure, consistency, training, patience, and dedication to help them grow into happy, well-mannered adult dogs.

They teethe. They chew. They have accidents. They have LOTS of energy. They also need plenty of appropriate outlets, socialization, guidance, and positive reinforcement.

Nesta is located in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters. To get started, please submit an adoption application at www.jasperslegacy.org/apply-to-adopt

Adoption process:
Potential adopters complete our online application. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved.

From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption.

Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future preventative vetting. The adoption contract is signed and adoption fee paid to finalize the adoption.
