Buddha came to foster care on July 30th after being in the impound/veterinary facility for about 10-15 days as an unclaimed stray. He is friendly, affectionate, and learning the ropes of being a family dog. He's very playful and energetic and enjoys tossing toys in the air, chewing hard chew toys and antlers, and wrestling with his foster brother and sister. He loves walks and is working on leash walking and off-leash recall with his foster. He does really well in a crate for "enforced nap time" during the day and to sleep at night. There aren't any cats in the home, but he shows interest in chasing chipmunks and squirrels as well as livestock, so a home without small animals or a very careful introduction/training regimen is recommended. He probably loves kids, but would knock the smaller ones down with his size and exuberance! As energetic as he is, we think most of it is due to his age and he will calm down and embrace his inner couch potato. He's a total love who deserves a family to call his own.
