Hedgehog is a mellow, quiet guy who is happiest hanging out near his people and enjoying a predictable routine. At home, he’s very well behaved and not destructive. Most of the day, you’ll find him stretched out on the carpet, and at night he sleeps peacefully in his crate. He does very well crated, sleeps through the night, and you might even hear him snore a little!He also appreciates a good sofa, but Hedgehog has standards: there needs to be enough room for him to properly stretch out.Hedgehog enjoys his walks. He can be excited and pull on the leash for the first few minutes, but once he gets going, he settles into a nice walking rhythm. He’s pretty low-maintenance when it comes to exercise. Two 20-minute walks and a couple of quick potty breaks are usually enough to keep him mellow and content for the rest of the day. He would especially love a home with a securely fenced yard where he can spend some time outside.Treats are definitely the way to Hedgehog’s heart, and he loves a good game of tug-of-war. He’s not a big chewer and is generally a calm presence around the house. He already knows “sit” and is currently working on “stay.” He also handles baths and brushing well. They may not be his favorite activities, but he cooperates without much fuss.Hedgehog does need the right home. He is selective about other dogs and has a strong prey drive, so he will chase small animals. A home without small pets would be the safest fit.
