Arthur (A569697) is a big, sweet guy who arrived as a stray and definitely did not come in looking his best. He was in rough shape and spent time with our medical team getting the care he needed. Now he is feeling much better and finally starting to show us who he really is. When Arthur first arrived he was very defensive of his space. He barked and growled at people who tried to enter his kennel and simply did not know what to expect from us. With time and routine he has settled in and is doing so much better. He recently tested well with another laid back, low energy dog like him, so we think he would be a wonderful match for a home that already has a senior or easygoing pup. Arthur leads very well on a leash. He does not care much for treats, but he loves squeaky toys. He absolutely enjoys people, yet he has an independent nature and does not mind spending time alone. Arthur may not be the high energy, attention seeking dog people imagine adopting, but he is a good boy deserving of kindness and stability. Arthur is estimated to be around 4 years old and weighs 58 pounds.
