Meet Electra Stardust!

A spirited four-and-a-half-year-old American Pitbull Terrier/German Shepherd mix currently in San Diego, CA, whose essence is a sweet, silly goofball wrapped in a beautiful tricolor coat.

At 38 pounds, Electra is a medium-sized girl with an athletic streak and an impressive talent for staying close to her favorite person. She is a true “velcro dog” who loves following her person from room to room, settling at their feet, and making herself part of everyday life! Whether you are relaxing on the couch, working around the home, or enjoying the backyard, Electra is happiest nearby.

Playtime brings out her joyful side! Electra loves running, jumping, chewing bones, and performing tricks for treats. She even catches snacks tossed through the air, a résumé-worthy skill she would happily demonstrate! This clever girl knows sit, come, down, speak, wait, leave it, and “go to your place.” She has completed professional training and thrives with structure, consistency, positive reinforcement, and continued learning opportunities.

Electra can be fearful or unsure in certain situations and communicates her discomfort through behaviors such as barking, growling, backing away, or hiding. She has never bitten a person. Because she has experienced serious, unpredictable conflicts with another dog involving resource guarding of her person, Electra needs to be the only pet, with no dogs or cats. A fenced yard is also important, as she is accustomed to having outdoor access and would not be suitable for apartment or condo living.

Electra needs a family without young children. An adult home or one with older children who can respect her boundaries may be suitable. She would enjoy a single person or couple who understands canine body language and has time for walks, play, bonding, and maintaining her established training routine. She is also comfortable spending four to five hours alone.
