Cavalier - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Albert Lea, Minnesota

Ladies and gentlemen - I'd like you to meet Cavalier.

Cavalier, her ma, Harley, and her brother were living the good life in Scarville, IA until her human - Earl - recently died in a motorcycle accident after an apparent heart attack. Harley went to live with Earl's sister in Indiana, Cavalier's brother found another home and Cavalier stayed for a while with Earl's friend and neighbor, then came to us. Earl's friend tells us that Earl was a country bumpkin who loved his dogs and was a super great dude! And occasionally would give the dogs pizza for a treat! Cavalier is a wonderful, friendly dog but she loves to be free and is quite talented at getting over fences - fortunately she walks well on a leash. She is a great girl who is in need of a new home and friend. She is medium sized and around 3 years old. Cavalier hasn't expressed an opinion about cats to us yet.

All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org

When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.

Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.

If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
