DESCRIPTION
Cassie has such a bright white, gorgeous coat that is the softest! She is estimated to be about 11 months old and weighs 42 pounds.
Meet Cassie, a bundle of snuggles and affection! This sweet girl likes to stay close and just melts into you, it is so sweet. She is a people-pleaser and curious of all the goings-on, she seems highly trainable for sure. Cassie also really loves toys and has a soft mouth relinquish, she is so good! She can be a little submissive and insecure though, so she will need a leader to rely on, and her confidence will grow and blossom. An active home where any children are mature and at least 13 years old is just what she needs. Cassie can still be a little puppy mouthy when she is excited, so she will need some help with that. With her playful and loving nature, Cassie is sure to bring laughter and warmth to her new family, she can't wait until they find her. She would love it if you came to meet her.
Cassie went into a foster home for a couple of weeks, and we learned so much about her. My gosh, as you can see from a couple of her pictures, she loves other dogs and only wants to cuddle and lay with them. She would make such a great second dog. Here are a few nice facts about her from her foster mom:
Gets along well with dogs and cats
Plays rough and gets zoomies, may be better with dog her own size or bigger
Loves to cuddle with other dogs
Super food motivated and learns quickly
Knows sit, wait for her food, and almost mastered down and look
Crate trained and working on house training
If you are interested in Cassie and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!
*Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Pit Bull Terrier is a resilient and loyal breed known for its muscular build and loving nature. Originally bred for bull baiting and later dog fighting, Pit Bulls today are beloved family pets cherished for their gentle temperament and playful personality. With proper training and socialization, Pit Bull Terriers make affectionate companions that thrive on human interaction. Recognized for their strength and agility, these dogs require regular exercise and mental stimulation to channel their energy positively, reinforcing their reputation as devoted and trainable pets.
