Meet Libra!

Libra is living proof that a shelter label does not define a dog. She is the cutest girl around, complete with adorable speckled ears and a personality to match. She is energetic, friendly, and bonds deeply with her person.

She loves toys and is a big fan of playing fetch outside. We are still perfecting the fine art of returning the ball, but she is very proud of her progress. After playtime, she enjoys coming inside to lounge in her favorite spot by the window, keeping an eye on neighborhood happenings, and then settling in for some quality cuddle time next to her person.

Libra is highly treat motivated and learns quickly when snacks are involved. She is also impressively brave. If something startles her, she will circle back to give it a sniff and decide for herself that everything is actually just fine.

She is still young, so she has a little puppy energy left in her tank. She does a great job entertaining herself but lights up when someone joins in on the fun. Once she gets her energy out, she happily curls up for a nap. She occasionally gets the zoomies and races through the house, clearly thrilled to be in a home where she feels safe and loved.

Libra truly wants to learn and is eager to please. She just needs someone willing to teach her and keep the treats coming. Luckily, she works for snacks.

She knows sit, is potty trained, sleeps soundly in her crate in the bedroom at night, and rides perfectly in the car. She has also been crated while running errands and did great. Basically, she is checking all the boxes and then wagging her tail about it.
