Meet Compass Journey!
Compass is currently about 1 month old and weighs approximately 9 pounds. We believe he may be a Pit Bull/Lab mix, but with rescue it's always our best guess! What we do know is that this adorable little guy is overflowing with personality, love, and puppy charm. Like so many puppies from overcrowded shelters, Compass is looking for a family willing to give him the bright future he deserves.
If there is one thing Compass loves, it's PLAYING. Seriously, if it can be picked up, tossed around, carried, squeaked, tugged, chased, or chewed, Compass is ready for it. Stuffies? Amazing. Cat toys? Fantastic. Random butterfly toy someone left on the floor? His new favorite thing. This boy finds joy in absolutely everything and approaches life with endless enthusiasm and curiosity.

Compass also loves spending time with his puppy siblings. He enjoys wrestling, romping around, and sharing toys during playtime. He's a social little guy who is always ready to join the fun and make new friends.
When playtime is over, Compass turns into the ultimate cuddle bug. He is absolutely a people dog and wants nothing more than to be right beside his humans. Whether he's curled up in your lap, snuggled against your side, or following you from room to room, Compass loves being close to the people he cares about.
And we have to talk about how ridiculously cute he is. Compass has the most adorable puppy rolls—seriously, rolls for days! Combined with his sweet face and chunky little body, he's impossible to resist. And somehow, he's even softer than he is cute. His foster swears he might be the softest puppy they've ever felt, making cuddle time with Compass an extra special experience.
Like all young puppies, Compass is still learning about the world around him. He will need a family committed to training, socialization, routine, and all the patience that comes with raising a puppy. Establishing structure, boundaries, and positive experiences early on will help him grow into the confident, well-rounded adult dog he's already showing signs of becoming. We require adopters to begin crate training immediately upon arrival home, which helps with potty training, confidence building, and developing healthy habits.
Compass is the total package: playful, affectionate, social, cuddly, and unbelievably adorable. If you're looking for a puppy who will keep you laughing during the day and snuggling at night, Compass Journey may be your perfect match.

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
