Heres a little write up on Cherry- CHERRY.... She's about 20 lbs of pure "don't let the size fool you."
Cherry is what happens when the universe decides to pack all the confidence, athleticism, and spice of a bully breed into the world's most compact package. Pittie heart. Pocket size. Zero chill.
She loves people, she's great with kids, and she holds her own with other dogs social and sweet, but not afraid to politely set a boundary when needed.
Here's the thing though: Cherry needs a job.
We're not talking a walk around the block and a belly rub. We're talking hiking trails, FastCAT, Barn Hunt, trick training, dog sports the kind of life that actually matches what's happening inside that busy little brain of hers. Giving her those rewards will be fun for you too! A couch-only home would be wasted on her, honestly. Cherry came to us from Newark AHS, pulled by our friends at NJCAS
Shelter life was taking a toll on her active spirit, so NJCAS reached out to us for help. Since she's been at the Co-op, shes thriving, and now she's ready for her people to come take her to her forever home! We even did a DNA test on her, see the results in the pictures!
Is that you? Reach out and let's talk!

ABOUT: MALTESE DOG BREED
The Maltese is a small toy breed known for its glamorous white coat, which is long, silky, and virtually hypoallergenic. They are gentle, affectionate companion dogs that thrive on human companionship and make wonderful family pets. Maltese dogs are playful, intelligent, and alert, with a confident demeanor despite their small size. They require regular grooming to maintain their luxurious coat and are suitable for apartment living due to their size and adaptability.
The Pekingese is a small and affectionate toy breed known for its lion like appearance, characterized by a distinctive flat face, dark eyes, and a flowing mane of fur. Originating in ancient China, these dogs were cherished as companions to royalty and nobility. Despite their small size, Pekingese are confident and independent dogs with a charming personality. They require regular grooming to maintain their luxurious coat and benefit from early socialization and obedience training. Overall, the Pekingese makes a loyal and loving companion for those willing to invest time and effort into their care.
