Meet Rusty - one handsome little heartthrob!

Rusty has a gorgeous dark auburn coat and a fluffy tail that deserves a fan club! At just 10 months old and 16 pounds, this Shih Tzu mix is the perfect size for a little adventure buddy and a whole lot of love.

Rusty gets along with dogs big and small, is respectful of cats, and would love a canine friend to show him the ropes. He's still adjusting to life outside the shelter and can be a little reserved with people at first, but he's coming out of his shell more and more every day! He's been fostered with children, too, and continues to grow in confidence as he discovers what it means to be part of a family.

Rusty is already crate-trained and almost mastered his potty training, so he's off to a great start! With a little patience, some gentle encouragement, and a family willing to let him blossom at his own pace, this sweet boy is sure to keep coming into his own.
