DESCRIPTION
Introducing Jett... this little man is a sweet ball of energy that is also always down to cuddle up on the bed with you. We are working on potty training (doing very well but keep an eye on him when he’s out of his crate) and the sit command. He does great in his crate and loves other dogs and cats (although the cats don’t always love him). He walks well on a leash but also occasionally gets the zoomies and tries to run off. He is quite the shy guy so he will need lots of patience and love to get him to come out of his shell. I do not know how he is with men or children but see no aggressive problems just some shyness! This perfect little boy is ready to find his forever home, will you take the chance on him?
Jett is in the Adoption Ambassador Foster Program. Foster families take dogs into their homes and help them get adopted. Interested in Jett? Contact Courtney Gumienny, Senior Director of Adoptions, at cgumienny@charlestonanimalsociety.org to learn more!
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Pekingese is a small and affectionate toy breed known for its lion like appearance, characterized by a distinctive flat face, dark eyes, and a flowing mane of fur. Originating in ancient China, these dogs were cherished as companions to royalty and nobility. Despite their small size, Pekingese are confident and independent dogs with a charming personality. They require regular grooming to maintain their luxurious coat and benefit from early socialization and obedience training. Overall, the Pekingese makes a loyal and loving companion for those willing to invest time and effort into their care.
