Sunny - Papillon and Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Vista, California

Sunny is a Papillon/Chihuahua puppy who is 7 months old and weighs 7 pounds. She is very affectionate, very smart, and very, very active. She loves to play, especially with another dog, and her forever home should have a playful small dog but no cats and no small children. She is spayed, microchipped, crate-trained and has all her puppy shots. She is potty pad trained but sometimes misses and is almost housetrained if taken out often.

Those are the basics but they don’t do Sunny justice. She is a one-of-a-kind. She loves everyone and will leap into a stranger’s arms. She is a canine Energizer bunny who joyfully plays with toys and with her doggy pal. She plays rough with both. She’s a puppy so she’s a champion toy de-stuffer. She’s exceptionally intelligent and will get a specific toy from another room when asked. She entertains with hilarious antics. She is curious and alert. She reacts to the TV, the sound of a text from your phone, even the oven timer. She also reacts to sights and sounds outside and she does this by barking. We are working on training that out but it takes time and patience and she should not be adopted into an apartment or townhouse.

During her down time Sunny is super affectionate. She loves to lie in your lap and have her belly rubbed or her ears scritched. She gets a blissful look on her face. She wants to sleep next to you at night.

Sunny needs a home with someone around, not a home where everyone goes off to work for the day. An active family would be ideal, along with another active small dog.

We do a home visit and adopt only in San Diego County and some areas of Orange and Riverside Counties.
