Zephyr is a wonderful tiny 8# senior dog looking for his retirement home. He is amazing and never barks or whines. He will spin and jump excitedly when he sees treats or when you have been gone awhile. He travels well in the car and just enjoyed his first beach trip. Zephyr gets along very well with cats, dogs, kids and adults. He is happy to take short walks. He will follow you around everywhere, but is independent too, so is okay if you leave him. He loves to have his head rubbed, especially behind his ears and leans into your touch. Zephyr is very gentle.
Zephyr is 15 years and generally healthy for his age. He has early kidney disease that does require any care, he has a heart murmur that does not affect him, he is mostly deaf and has arthritis. All his teeth are gone, so he will need no dental care. Zephyr does great when he gets his monthly Librela arthritis injection from the vet, and his new owner should be prepared to continue that. Zephyr is a breed that needs grooming every few months. He urinates more often than most dogs due to his early kidney disease. Zephyr can hold his bladder overnight, but not always during the day, so he wears a belly band/diaper. He is housetrained, but tolerates the belly band/diaper well when needed. His new owner needs to be patient, as Zephyr eats very slowly and can be a little finicky. He needs canned or softened food, and needs to eat in a place where other animals don't push him out of the way for his food.
Zephyr's fosters are happy to have him and he goes to work with his foster mom and just sleeps there.
