Ty (PW 245) - Papillon and Dachshund Dog for Adoption in Plymouth, Michigan

Meet Ty, a very sweet puppy who will turn one in August. We call him Tyson for his boxing skills. Whenever he sees me or anyone else in the family, he is up on his hind feet, joyfully waving his hands in the air! We are working on keeping those happy feet in the air and not on people.

He is a puppy in all the best ways! He is energetic, ready to learn, and the cutest thing you will ever see. Ty loves to play chase with our other foster dog, play fetch with our four-year-old, and grab leftovers from the highchair of our 18-month old. I am constantly in awe of how good he is with kids. I watched our 18-month-old take a tennis ball right out of his mouth, and Ty did not react until Miles gave it a little toss for him. Ty hoped over and started chewing again. At the end of the day, he helps with bedtime, following us from room to room and finally snuggles up for a book or two.

Ty loves to be with his people. It can take him a few minutes to get used to someone new. It is almost like he is a little kid who hides behind mom's legs when they walk into a new space. He would love a work-from/at-home setup, and I think he would do wonderfully in a dog-friendly office.

The crate was not his favorite, like I said, he loves being with his people. He asked very nicely (a few short yips, foster dad is a softy) to sleep in bed with us, and he was a perfect guest. He woke me up when he had to use the potty so we could get outside, and went right back to sleep. He does great with peeing outside, but prefers using a peepad for pooping. Good enough.

This sweet boy has a very lucky forever family, and I am sure he will meet them soon.

The adoption fee is $390.00. All animals are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed/neutered.
