Peanut - Papillon and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Chicago, Illinois

PEANUT

Papillon, Mixed Breed
🇺🇸
Chicago, Illinois
June 21st
female, small, baby

DESCRIPTION

This sweet puppy is spayed and fully healthy! She is up to date on vaccines. She is still receiving the core puppy vaccine series and will need one additional vaccine after adoption to reach full immunization. She is also microchipped!

: Housebreaking - Working on it! With a strict schedule and routine, she will catch on in no time

: Crate Training - She has not been left at home alone much yet in her foster home, but she can struggle to settle when her people are not nearby. She will need to keep working on this!

: Leash walking - So far, so good! She is working to continue building up her confidence!

: Dog-friendly - She has been living with another dog in her foster home for just a few days so far, but still seems uncomfortable with him at the moment so has been kept separated from him. She'd likely do best with very slow intros to calm dog pals.

: Cat-friendly - Not sure, he hasn't met cats with us yet! Slow intro required if adopted into a home with a cat.

Kid-friendly: This girl is great with kids of all ages! She's been living with a 9 and 11 year old, and has accepted pets and snuggles from older and younger kids.

Peanut is an absolute sweetheart who is very snuggly and fun! She is so loving and friendly, and adores people and kids. She loves to play and learn, and would love a home where she can keep her brain busy and continue to learn all the Very Good Girl things as she grows!

OTAT requires that all dogs 6 months and under be enrolled in a positive reinforcement training program within 2 weeks of their adoption at their adopter's expense. A $150 refundable deposit will be collected at the time of adoption, and refunded upon receipt of proof of enrollment in a positive reinforcement training program.

Peanut's adoption fee is $350, and this adorable gal can't wait to meet you!

These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
