About Angelo:
Say hello to Angelo, our newest international superstar! This handsome 1-year-old boy made the long journey all the way from Albania to find his forever home. Angelo is the definition of resilient. While he is missing a leg, don't let the word "handicapped" fool you—as you can see in his video, this amazing tripod pup gets around perfectly fine! He is fast, playful, and doesn't let anything slow him down.
Angelo is at the perfect age where he has plenty of puppy energy but is eager to learn and bond with his new humans. He is looking for a loving family who will see past his missing limb and see the absolutely perfect companion that he is.

One Chipped tooth. *street life scar.
Angelo was found on the street unable to use one of his front legs. After being taken to the vet, it was determined that he had severe nerve damage and had completely lost feeling in the leg. Unfortunately, there was no way to save it, and his front leg had to be amputated.
But Angelo definitely doesn’t let three legs slow him down.
He is sweet, outgoing, incredibly people-oriented, and a fast learner with lots of energy. He can run fast, jump surprisingly high, and LOVES chasing anything you throw for him. Give him a toy to chew on and he’s a happy boy.
Angelo is fine around other dogs, but people are his favorite. He would much rather follow his humans around and be part of whatever they are doing.
Maybe he went so long without human love while living on the street that now he simply can’t get enough of it. He absolutely cherishes attention and cuddles.
Angelo is a small dog with a huge personality and so much love to give.
Don’t let those three legs fool you. This little guy is unstoppable.

All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.

Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!) Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.
Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always
