Meet Jake!

In a chaotic shelter setting, Jake is the calm, steady anchor everyone gravitates toward. Rescued as part of a municipal program in Albania, Jake found himself living in crowded shelter pens. While the crowded environment stresses many dogs out, Jake's gentle, stoic nature helped him rise above it. Out of so many dogs, his warm heart and easygoing personality made him an absolute volunteer favorite who couldn't be left behind.

Jake is a total sweetheart who loves everyone he meets, especially children and the teenage shelter volunteers who shower him with affection. He gets along easily with other dogs and shares his space peacefully. He's a grazer who likes to take his time eating, and on a leash, he's a polite and easy walker.

With a low-to-medium energy level, Jake is mostly a chill, loving guy who just wants to be near his humans. That devotion runs deep-he has even been known to clear a 5-foot fence just to be close to his favorite person! Because of his incredible loyalty and athleticism when motivated by love, a secure yard or a family who keeps him close will be perfect for him.
