Moonpie - Mountain Cur and American Staffordshire Terrier Dog for Adoption in Seguin, Texas

Meet Moonpie — Your Gentle, Copper-Eyed Best Friend

Moonpie is the definition of a gentle soul. With his warm copper eyes, adorable white socks, and sweet pointy ears that dip softly when he greets you, he has a way of stealing hearts the moment you meet him. Calm, affectionate, and incredibly loving, Moonpie is happiest simply being close to his people. A few scratches behind his ears are enough to make him close his eyes in complete contentment.

This handsome boy is kennel trained, potty trained, and already knows the "sit" command, along with "come," "no," and "get in your box." He's eager to please and enjoys learning, making continued training both easy and rewarding.

Moonpie is dog selective, and while he has lived with other dogs in the past, we have learned that he will be happiest and most successful in a home where he can be the only pet. We are looking for a home without other dogs, cats, or other animals so Moonpie can relax, feel secure, and enjoy having his family all to himself.

Moonpie enjoys car rides, comes when called, and has done wonderfully with tweens and teens. His gentle, affectionate personality makes him a wonderful companion for a family looking for a dog who truly enjoys being part of everyday life.

He doesn't need another animal to keep him company—his people are what matter most to him. Whether he's joining you for a drive, relaxing at your feet, enjoying some outdoor time, or simply soaking up your attention, Moonpie is happiest when he's close to the people he loves.

If you're looking for an affectionate, loyal companion with a calm personality, a playful spirit, and a heart full of love—and you have a pet-free home—Moonpie may be the perfect addition to your family. He's patiently waiting for the forever home where he can be someone's one and only.

Moonpie is being fostered in Seguin, TX, but can be transported to the Northeast and Pacific Northwest after adoption. He is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and on preventatives.
