Taquito came to us extremely matted and, understandably, pretty unhappy with the world. After an immediate grooming to help him feel more comfortable, it took some time for this little guy to learn that the people here were there to help. Taquito has made great progress and continues to come out of his shell, but he can still show us his grumpy side from time to time. He's looking for an adult-only, quiet home with people who understand that trust takes time and will respect his space while he adjusts. Taquito may never be the type of dog who happily greets every stranger he meets and that's okay! With patience, management, and confidence-building, we think he has the potential to form a wonderful bond with his people. If you're willing to let Taquito set the pace, this little guy may just surprise you with how much love he has to give.
