Whoever named this girl Licorice owes her a formal apology. Because Licorice is not black. Licorice is not even licorice-adjacent. Licorice is the most stunning, rich milk chocolate color you've ever seen on a dog, and she wears it like she knows it.

We don't know what happened. Maybe there was a paperwork mix-up. Maybe someone at the shelter just really liked the name and ran with it before actually meeting her. Either way, she has spent her whole life being introduced as a candy she looks nothing like, and she has never once complained about it, because on top of being drop-dead gorgeous, she is also just as sweet as her name suggests — even if the color isn't.

Licorice: 0% accurate to her name, 100% accurate to "sweetest, prettiest girl you'll meet today." We'd rename her Cocoa, but honestly, at this point, the irony is part of her charm.
