FROM A CARDBOARD BOX TO A SECOND CHANCE
On the outskirts of Puerto Vallarta, a cardboard box was left on the street; inside were tiny puppies, only about 2 months old. Thrown away like they didn’t matter but this little girl is here today because she does matter. She bravely managed to climb out of that box and was just moments away from being run over when kind neighbors stepped in and called for help. That was when Nayeli showed up, because some people simply refuse to look the other way. She and her siblings were rescued just in time. They were weak, underweight, and covered in ticks and fleas... but they were fighters. After receiving veterinary care and tests that thankfully came back negative for the scariest diseases, they began their journey toward healing and a better life. Because every life is worth saving, and every puppy deserves a chance. Sol was one of those puppies.

Sol is about 4 years old, weighs around 38 kilos, and is a loving mixed breed.

Sol is the kind of dog who knows how to enjoy the simple things in life. While the other dogs are running around and playing, Sol is often perfectly happy finding a comfortable spot and relaxing while he watches the action. But don't let his calm nature fool you, when Sol decides it's time to play, he happily joins the fun and shows everyone what a joyful boy he can be. He is a social, easygoing boy who enjoys people of all ages and gets along well with the other dogs in his area at the shelter. He even likes welcoming new visitors, making sure strangers don't stay strangers for very long. Once Sol gets to know you and feels comfortable, his affectionate personality really comes out. He will happily demand your attention and give plenty of it right back. Sol also enjoys getting out of the shelter for walks, where he likes saying hello to the other dogs he meets along the way. And then there are car rides, Sol loves looking out the window, watching everything go by, and seemingly wondering where his next adventure might take him. He is wonderfully easygoing when it comes to sharing. Sol is happy to share his food, toys, and sleeping space with the other dogs, and he doesn't get stressed easily. He has a calm, gentle nature that would make him a wonderful companion for an easygoing family looking for a loving dog who can enjoy both peaceful days and occasional adventures.
