Lacy - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Texarkana, Texas

Sweet little Lacy is a golden blonde terrier mix who made her start in DeQueen, AR, with brother Luca, where she somehow survived, while awaiting that fateful day in June when her life changed furever! My rescue friend went by to check on another adult dog who she actually thought was a stray, and appeared to have two broken back legs. Upon arrival, she found out he had an owner! When she saw these babies there, she asked the owner if he'd be willing to let them go to a foster. He said yes, and after seeing their sad little videos, (which looked like they had physical issues with their legs and/or back, similar to the other) I couldn't say no!! My husband was on board too, and here we are!
When I say she and her brother had the worst case of fleas I've ever seen, I mean it, and l've seen a lot!! At least a thousand on each baby! Bloody water and a 1hour bath each later, these babies were finally clean. My husband even cried at her little 7lb skeleton body! How could she even be alive? We were extra concerned about her surviving the first few days.
Miraculously her gums were somehow still pink, and even more shockingly, her poop was normal! And boy were they hungry little hippos! We fed them a small amount at a time several times a day until they were out of danger.
We treated with NexGuard Centra, coconut oil and de-wormer! Now she's a beauty, fur grown back and ready for her spay on the 4th!!
Lacy now weighs 14.5lbs and looks amazing! Fur is all grown back too!!! We can't believe the transformation! The only thing still not 100% is her ears are still needing cleaned often. We'll get those straightened out too.
As of July 20, she has all her shots and been dewormed and de-fleaed several times!! Lacy loves to cuddle, play with her stuffies and her brother, and will play fetch even though big brother always beats her to the ball! She loves all people and is still a little shy with the other dogs, but is totally a lover with all of us!
If you want a loveable, playful, loyal BFF, Lacy will be the pawfect dog for you!

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
