Choco - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Springfield, Missouri

Choco is a handsome 25-pound Chihuahua mix and a total lap dog. He can be a little shy when first meeting someone, but give him just a few seconds of gentle attention and he melts right into your arms like chocolate.

Choco was adopted as a puppy after growing up in a loving foster home, and he spent three happy years with his family. Sadly, through no fault of his own, he was recently returned when his family moved away. The transition has been difficult for this sweet boy, and he is clearly missing the comfort and security of having a family of his own.

At the adoption center, Choco can be a little reserved, but once he feels safe, his affectionate personality shines through. He loves being close to his people and would happily spend his days curled up beside you or snuggled in your lap. Because of his smaller size, he doesn't currently have a roommate, and we would love nothing more than to see him back in a home where he can feel loved, safe and wanted again.

Choco is looking for a patient, loving family who will give him a little time to settle in and then enjoy all the love and companionship he has to offer. We believe his best chapter is still ahead of him, and we're hoping his forever family comes along soon.

Choco is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, neutered and microchipped. All he needs now is someone to love him for the rest of his life.
