Lobo RC - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in South Portland, Maine

Lobo is a sweet, playful young boy who is ready to find his forever home! We think Lobo was born in early 2026, and he currently weighs just about 40lbs - he's a great medium-sized companion with plenty fo puppy fun left in him!

Lobo loves playing with toys, rides well in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. He’s also doing great with his house manners! Lobo is housetrained, gives cues when he needs to go outside, and does well in his crate both when left alone and overnight.

Like many young dogs, Lobo is still learning the ropes. He enjoys chewing on things he shouldn’t, so keeping tempting items out of reach will be important. He’s also working on appropriate behavior around other dogs and learning to share his toys. Because he has shown some possessiveness over toys, we recommend a home without young children while he continues to learn and build confidence.

Lobo has so much potential to be a wonderful companion. If you’re looking for a loving, playful pup to join you for outdoor adventures, games of fetch, and plenty of affection, Lobo might just be your guy!

Lobo is currently with our partner rescue in North Carolina and will be making his way to New England, soon!

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
