Emma RR - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in South Portland, Maine

Emma and her 3 siblings were dumped on a rural country road in MS on the hottest day of the year in the south (the heat index was 115). They were left out in a box, and had climbed out and were running out in the road. After receiving love and needed care, the puppies are thriving!

Emma is the smallest of the litter, but she can still hold her own. She loves to play and you can tell she is listening to every word when talking to her. She is very smart and LOVES to be petted and have her belly rubbed. She climbs up on the couch and goes to sleep when she's had enough. She is very calm and completely relaxes when you hold her.

Emma is doing well with cats and is respectful of other dogs.

Transport will be at the end of August.

YOUR ADOPTION FEE COVERS: Transport to Maine, age specific vaccinations, Health certificate, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia test, worming & martingale collar.

Adoption fees:
Through 6 months of age $450;
7 months to through 5 years $400;
6 years and under 9 years $325: bonded pairs are $500;
9 years and older $250: bonded pairs are $300

This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning Pending Adoption. This dog is in foster care locally, ONLY if Maine is listed next to the dogs name; otherwise, the dog is still waiting with our partner rescue for an adoption or foster home in New England.

All dogs have a current Health Certificate for transport. All imported dogs are quarantined 14 days prior to getting on transport.ve had annual heartworm tests and are on heartworm preventative.

Homes considering Puppies must be prepared for:
Flexible Schedules for Potty Training. Puppies can only hold urine for one hour per month of age. Crate Training for the next 10 months to keep them safe from chewing on everything in your home. Supervision with Children and Obedience training.
Socialization; both with new people, children and other dogs outside of the home.
Homes that want a well behaved dog, must be prepared to put the time, effort and costs associated to train a puppy. Well behaved dogs are not born, they are trained! Please do not apply for a puppy if you cannot or do not have the time for a puppy.
