About me:

Fenix is a sweet, loving boy who brings so much joy to his foster home. He is a goofy sleeper who will make you smile when you find him sleeping on his back with his paws up and his tongue hanging out. He absolutely loves belly rubs, going for car rides to get pup cups, and going on walks where he is currently working on his leash manners. He also enjoys playing with balls—we are currently working on fetch—but he does not care for tug-of-war.

Fenix enjoys his training sessions and is very smart. He already knows "kennel," "sit," and "down," and has good recall. Because he is so bright, he can occasionally be a bit stubborn and knows when you might be up to something (like trying to give him medication), but he is cooperative on the second try.

He can experience some initial anxious attachment but thrives with a consistent routine and Trazodone as needed. When it comes to treats, Fenix is a bit picky; he isn't a fan of standard treats but absolutely loves dog-friendly whipped cream, unsweetened plain Greek yogurt, deli meat, cooked chicken, and gourmet dog food.
