ALLEGRA - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Santa Fe, New Mexico

Sure to make your day with just her presence and contagious smile is Allegra! She is 3 years old and currently weighs 70 lbs. This social butterfly is a staff and volunteer favorite and here are just a few reasons why : “Allegra was a pure delight on our outing today. She jumped right into the car like she was ready to go! She sat quietly in the backseat, just peering out of the window. We started at the Capitol grounds, where she sniffed so many scents, very thoroughly. We drove to the Railyard and parked close to the farmers’ market. She was not dog-reactive, even with those walking past at a close distance. We sat on a bench near the market, where she attracted a huge amount of attention, which she adored! At one point, there was a group of 6-8 young women who just surrounded her and were exclaiming (loudly) how adorable she was, with 3-4 of them all petting her at once. She would affectionately attempt to follow her admirers when they would walk off! We stopped at a cafe, where she just politely lay at our feet. We took her into the Shine pet food store, where she was treated like royalty, politely enjoying a myriad of treat samples from an employee, while using her nose to enjoy the various gastronomic aromas coming from the refrigerated meat items. What else can we say? Whoever adopts Allegra will be very lucky to have such a wonderful friend in their life. Allegra’s adoption fee is $100. She is spayed, microchipped, and has age-appropriate vaccinations. A licensing fee may apply.
