Sammy - Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in San Francisco, California

A man of many nicknames, our 64-lb. Sammy (aka Sammy Whammy, aka Sourdough Sammy) is a delightfully goofy shadow dog whose judgy side eye and button nose charm everyone he meets.

Sammy is both crate trained and potty trained, loves car adventures, and is always up for visiting patios, breweries, and other dog-friendly spots with his people. He walks nicely on a leash and loves exploring new places. On walks, he mostly ignores other dogs in favor of all the fresh and interesting smells around him. However, if another dog starts barking at him, Sammy finds it hard not to join in!

Sammy believes in a well-balanced lifestyle: get some exercise and fresh air in the morning, then head home for a well-deserved nap. His ideal routine also includes regular games of tug-o-war with his favorite rope toys, window watching, sunbathing, and plenty of human snuggles. His fosters describe him as medium energy - always happy to go for a hike or walk, but equally content to settle in for a lazy day on the couch.

Sammy bonds hard with his people, which means he's pretty much down for whatever his humans are up to. Whether it's an adventure out and about or a cozy day at home, Sammy wants to be right there by your side.
